Returns Policy

All of our products come with a 14 day returns policy.
If you change your mind and don’t require the item(s) you have ordered, please return them to us, unused in their original packaging & in a re-saleable condition within 14 days of receipt.
A refund will normally be given within 7 days of us receiving the returned goods.

If you are returning an unwanted, or incorrectly ordered item, the costs incurred in sending it back to us are the responsibility of the customer and we also advise that proof of postage is obtained, or a tracking number from the post office, as we cannot be liable for items lost in transit.

If the product you are returning is faulty, then we (gearmechhanger.com) will refund your postage costs
If you are returning goods, please enclose a covering letter, with reasons why the item is being returned, along with your original receipt of purchase.

Returned goods are inspected in our returns department, replacements, exchanges or refunds are normally carried out within 7 working days.
Replacement goods are subject to availability either here or from our suppliers.

All items returned to gearmechhanger.com need to be in a undamaged, re saleable condition, and must not have been fitted to any bike, If they have been fitted or damaged, scratched, we will not be able to make a refund

If we can’t fulfil your order, we will contact you via email and will offer you the following options –
1. Refund of the sale
2. Give you an expected delivery date of the hanger, and you can make your decision to either wait until the hanger is available, when we will send it out immediately, or you can cancel the order.

Incorrect address given

If you give us the incorrect delivery address, we will have to await for the post office to deliver the package back to us before we can give any refund or replace the order.
Please note that in some cases, the package will not make it back to us and will be lost in the postal service.
In this instance no replacement or refund will be given as the wrong address was supplied to us, and therefore gearmechhanger.com has done what was asked and fulfilled there duty in supply of the part.

Warranty

Most frames are equipped with a replaceable derailleur hanger. This part is installed as a safety feature, as well as a convenience to you.
It is not uncommon for foreign objects, such as sticks, stones and other debris to bend your hanger. A bent hanger can occur from shifting hard under load, and/or transporting your bicycle.

Cycle derailleur hangers are designed to bend and break!
This inherent design actually keeps more expensive damage to your frame from occurring.

If these were stronger and more resistant to bending and breaking, there is a good chance that these forces would bypass the hangers and destroy the area of the frame attached to the hangers.
It is a good idea to purchase an extra hanger to prevent a breakage from interrupting your riding time.

We recommend that you have your new gear mech hanger installed by a qualified cycle mechanic at your local bike shop,

Gearmechhanger.com can not be held responsible for any injury caused by inappropriate or incorrect fitting of the gear mech hanger, and therefore by purchasing from us (Andy Bray Agencies Limited T/A gearmechhanger.com) you are agreeing to release all responsibility of Andy Bray agencies T/A gearmechhanger.com from all claims and actions.

Please note: Do not just replace your rear gear mech hanger without making sure the derailleur is aligned, and adjusted correctly to your bike by a qualified Cytec trained  bicycle mechanic

We also recommend that once the gear mech hanger has been replaced that you have the Bicycle gears checked and adjusted by a qualified cycle mechanic, to ensure the same problem does not occur again.
