About myself
Karl woodman 54
I’m just a rider, who likes to race for @southern Enduro Race team whenever I can, in between helping run races with @southernenduro

The first thing you will notice is how nice it looks in comparison to the Sram X01 ring.
Pick them up togethher, you will feel the Pilo offering is lighter. I didn’t weigh them, I’m not a weight conscious person.
Made from T7351 Alloy, which is manufactured in Switzerland, to the highest grade, supplied by www.constellium.com they supply Boeing, Bmw, Audi, the list goes on.

After machining, it goes through a thermal hardening process.
The proven Narrow wide tooth design along with pilo’s own CNC Contouring, in which the chain links sit in, with the shoulder to keep it nice and secure.

Fitting is just as the Sram ring, however NO new bolts are supplied as per Sram, note to Pilo engineering

The Ride
I took my chain guide off to give it a proper test.
It’s very quiet, smooth running, with no change during gear operation.
Typically I’ve been waiting to test it during some muddy rides, but the wonderful weather we have been gifted has not allowed this, I’m not complaining.
It’s has however given some very fast, hard pack trails, which has tested the chain security to the max. Even under race conditions during the Welsh Gravity Enduro BNES @Afan, which was super dry, very rocky, steep and fast. Where other riders were dropping chains, even with chain guides, the Pilo never let me down.
I have now completed over 400 trouble free miles 46 of which have been racing mls. The black Anodising is just starting to wear off on the tips of the teeth.
